A monumental island in the south

Most people know the story of 1492 when Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue. But how many people know his first stop in the "new world" was in The Bahamas on San Salvador Island? We are pleased to introduce you to the little island in the south with an enormous place in history: San Salvador. Not to be confused with El Salvador. Seriously, Google makes this mistake, which is how off-the-radar this little island is. San Salvador is only 63 square miles, so when you visit you have an intimate encounter.
