What are the Terms and Conditions of this offer?

• The $250 Air/Fast Ferry Credit offer is based on single or double occupancy air-inclusive vacation package bookings from the U.S. and Canada only.
• Limit of one $250 Air Credit offer per booked room; up to two rooms allowed per booking.
• 2-bedroom (or larger) suites are considered 1 room for purposes of this offer.
• All bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
• Offer valid for new air-inclusive vacation packages only.
• Passengers must be booked on the same flight and itinerary.
• The BOIPB will not pay any air credit reimbursements if frequent flyer miles are used to pay for the airline tickets. Reimbursements will be paid for purchased tickets only.
• This offer may not be combined with any other Bahama Out Islands Promotion Board air/ferry/fee/fuel credit promotional offer.
• Cancellation of hotel booking will result in cancellation of associated airline credit(s).
• Not valid for group bookings.
• This offer is subject to availability and may be changed or canceled at any time. Other restrictions and limitations may apply.

What airlines fly direct to the Out Islands?

American Airlines from MIA, Silver Airways from FLL, Tropic Ocean Airways from FLL (Sheltair FBO), Makers Air from FXE (Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport) and Bahamasair from Palm Beach (PBI). In addition:

• Balearia (fast ferry) sails from Port Everglades to Bimini.
• Several other “private jet-type” air charter companies like Aztec Airways, Gold Aviation Services, and Air Flight Charters offer service from FLL (Sheltair FBO) or Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport.

How can I redeem the $250 Air/Fast Ferry Credit?

Simple! Contact the hotel and book your hotel room. Let them know that you are calling to take advantage of the $250 Air or Ferry Credit. A handful of hotels will book the Air + Hotel for you and deduct the $250 instantly off of the total cost of your 4-nights + vacation bill.

Other hotels will tell you to book your own flight and they will then deduct the $250 Air Credit off of your hotel check-out bill. Don’t worry, they have done this hundreds of times. No, really!!!

Can I book my own flight?

Yes, as noted above, but once you contact the hotel to book your room, let them know that you want to take advantage of the $250 Air Credit and you have already booked your airline or ferry ticket(s).

Can the hotel book the flight for me?

While most hotels would prefer that you book your own air, when you contact them ask. Other hotels like Sandals Emerald Bay Resort’s Unique Vacations, Hilton at Resorts World Bimini and Staniel Cay Yacht Club and Marina can book the complete Air + Hotel package for you and thus you will get your $250 Air Credit instantly.

What would happen if I booked my flight before I contacted the hotel?

When booking your hotel room, just let the hotel know that you booked your flights already, based on the approved Terms & Conditions (found in the FAQ for Terms & Conditions).

Can I use this on a charter flight?

Yes you may, but the $250 Air Credit per hotel room booked would still apply.

Can I use this if I am island hopping? For example, flying direct into an out island and then flying into Nassau?

In this case YES, but the $250 Air Credit per hotel room booked for 4-nights + stays would still apply.

What happens if I have to reschedule or cancel my vacation, does the credit apply for future travel?

Check with the hotel regarding their cancellation policy. In most cases you would be given a credit for a future date. In some cases you will be given a full refund, minus the $250 Air Credit.

Do I have to contact the hotel (email/phone) to get the offer? Is there a way to do it online? For example with a promo code.

Firstly, no Promo. Code is needed. As you may know, life in the Out Islands is simple. Some hotels will allow you to book online, others would prefer that you call or email. Choose your hotel, visit that hotel’s website and go with the flow.

Can this be used if I book my hotel through a 3rd party like TripAdvisor or Expedia?

For this specific Travelzoo offer, no; you must book directly with one of the participating hotels.

Who are the participating hotels?

Can the offer be combined with other promo board or hotel specials?

We wish, but unfortunately no.

Is the offer available to USVI residents and/or other US territories?

The offer is good for Residents/Citizens of the U.S. and Canada departing from North America. If you are from the U.S.V.I. or a U.S. territory (or a Canadian territory for that matter), YES, but once again the $250 is only valid if you travel from North America.

If the Air Credit is not instant, how will it be credited?

Your check-out hotel bill would be $250 lighter… credited upon check-out.

How do we book direct?

Once you have decided on your hotel, visit their website or even call, especially if you are a first-timer. Our hoteliers love to talk about “MY” island and all of their recommended “MUST DOs”. If you’ve been there before – and nearly 80% of our guests are repeat guests – you know the drill.

Is the air credit transferable?

No, it is not. Why buy and give your deserved trip away? Until “supplies last”, we have a $250 Air/Ferry Credit waiting for them too!
